In the middle of October it was once again time for one of our favourite events – the biannual ‘Gymnastics Progress Medals’. All week long, parents were invited along to watch their children and their classmates perform in a class display as well as individually to showcase their ever growing repertoire of skills . The head coach then had to decide on one gymnast whom they thought had made the most progress over the last six months, this is definitely one of their hardest tasks as a Springfit Head Coach as all of gymnasts are making great progress! At the end of the class, the chosen gymnast was awarded a well deserved gold medal for their hard work and determination.
The progress medals are not awarded solely on ability but the coaches are taking into account many attributes such as perseverance, attentiveness, class attendance as well as improvement in balance, agility and co-ordination during class so all gymnasts have a good chance of earning themselves a gold medal!
It gives us great pleasure in presenting these lovely shiny gold medals to our Springfit members who we feel deserve the recognition. It boosts a child’s (or adults) confidence, gives them a sense of pride in what they do each week and gives them something to focus on and work towards. In addition, it’s a class event that all our members look forward to and enjoy, as well as the parents and other spectators!
The Springfit team would like to congratulate all the gymnasts pictured below, who achieved this medal for their fantastic progress throughout the last six months.
