Our coaches tend to be pretty busy when you see them – teaching classes, getting equipment ready and ensuring that everyone is having fun and being kept safe! When you do chat with them it is more than likely going to be about gymnastics or trampolining so we thought it would nice to get you get to know them a bit more on a personal level.
First up is Adam Reynolds who is our Club Manager and Trampolining , Gymnastics and Freestyle Gymnastics Coach as well as being a nice guy!
We asked him 5 questions to help us get to know him a bit better…
What does your perfect day look like?
The short answer is a full day on the Alps with my snowboard and iPod, or kitesurfing in the Caribbean followed by cocktails. A more realistic day would start with a hike up a great hill over the South Downs on a misty dawn morning with my paragliding wing strapped to my back, followed by a few hours circling my beloved City of Brighton riding thermals, then a hearty lunch in a country pub. I’d walk our dog, Mojo, then teach some of my favourite classes trampolining on a weekday, or go to see Crystal Palace at the weekend. The evening would consist of drinks with friends or a Muse concert in a tiny venue.
Where do you most want to travel, but have never been?
That would have to be New Zealand. I can see myself retiring there, doing a bungee jump at 80yrs old.
What animal best represents you and why?
I’d have to say an Eagle, not only because of the connotations with my favourite football team, but because I love flying. Kitesurfing and paragliding are two of my favourite hobbies.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I think sausage and mash because you could have a bit of variation with it. There is a pub in Brighton which serves about fifty different combinations of various sausage and mash types. A past favourite of mine!
If you could be a Superhero which one would you be and why??
I think it would have to be Batman because of his moralistic views and all the gadgets! Plus his costume is the best and he gets to drive awesome cars. I’m a bit of a geek at heart and love all the tech that Batman uses.
