From Monday 8th to Sunday 14th February, we would usually be inviting all members to come along to classes wearing their Pyjamas or Onesies to help raise money for the British Heart Foundation and C-R-Y (Cardiac Risk in the Young) as part of our annual fundraiser week.
The charities were chosen not only for their focus on heart-related health and the association with Valentine’s Day, but also because they supported people close to the Club. The British Heart Foundation (BHF) funds research to beat heart and circulatory diseases and their risk factors. Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) aims to prevent sudden cardiac deaths in the young through awareness, screening and research, and they support affected families.
These two charities are very much close to our heart as they represent Charlie Clifton and Marie Manhire-Clark who were a big part of Springfit and sadly both were taken by heart attacks.

This year it is slightly different and just because we aren’t in classes it doesn’t mean that we can’t do our bit to help out!
Both Cardiac Risk In The Young & British Heart Foundation have put together fundraiser information pages that are great to check out for some inspo!
We can appreciate these are difficult times for everyone but if you are in a position to donate to these charities I am sure it would go a long way.
The easiest way to help raise awareness at the moment is to follow, interact and share both of our wonderful charities
