On Remembrance Sunday 11th November, Springfit hosted a trampoline competition in Oxted for members of several local Clubs.
In a rare coincidence, the tri-annual event fell on Armistice Day this year, and Springfit paid their own respects to the occasion by providing poppies with all the medals handed out.
The competition saw 30 competitors displaying the very best they had to offer. Friends and family proudly spectated as their loved ones fought for a place on the winner’s rostrum. From entry level to advance, all competitors impressed the judges, coaches and spectators.
For many, this was their first competition but there was no evidence that the pressure got to them. Every competitor appeared confident, poised and most importantly, having fun!
Of course, our experienced members performed as outstandingly as always. Abigail from Springfit’s Oakwood class scored an incredible 17.2 for her routine. Just one of the many amazing scores achieved by Springfit members.
We even had an adult category with Katie and Karen blowing the audience away in their syncro routine, taking the gold medal. Both Springfit and Anti-Gravity run adult classes which focus on strength, fitness and flexibility.
We would like to thank everyone who competed and came to support our competitors. We had an amazing day and hope you did to! We are greatly looking forward to the next trampolining competition in March.
The results are available on the website here.
The next trampoline competition is scheduled for March 2019, as detailed on the Club Calendar page.
