It’s always nice for coaches to feel appreciated, and the smiles and thank yous from children in classes are usually enough. Sometimes, however, people surprise us in the most wonderful and unexpected way. This was the case last week for Head Coach Sean, who runs the Wednesday boys and adults gymnastics classes at our Redhill Club operating out of St Bede’s school.
Members of the 7pm adult gymnastics class presented him and coach David with trophies they bought without the coaches knowledge in recognition of their teaching and as thanks for what they get from the class. In their own words; “for continuing to inspire and challenge us, for believing in us and allowing our aspirations to become a reality.” David was also commended for “his great coaching assistance, encouragement and for being the one that empathises with our fear and feels our pain.”
The trophies were engraved with “Top Coach” and “Best Coach” – a lovely touch which had the enthusiastic Springfit team beaming with pride. Neither of them had any idea this was planned, and it was news to everyone at the Club except those thoughtful and grateful class members who wanted to do something special for their coaches.
Adult class member Caroline is pictured here with her daughter and other members of the 7pm adult gymnastics class presenting the trophy to Sean after class.
If you want to experience the benefits of our adult gymnastics classes, get in touch and book a trial. Quote “Trophy Class” to the office for a free trial, valid until the end of June 2018.
Well done to Sean and David for all their efforts in planning, delivering and inspiring throughout their weekly delivery of the adult gymnastics classes. We are proud to have them as members of the Springfit team.
