Throughout lockdown, we launched Springfit Online. Springfit Online was a Facebook Group for members that provided a collection of useful resources including pictures and videos of fitness classes, skills, tips, conditioning, exercises, drills, games, and other related activities. Hosted ‘watch parties’ and interactive content allowing our members to show us what you were doing from home when it was not possible to attend classes in person.
Our team of professionally qualified coaches provided regular content including warm-up and stretch routines, individual skills with coaching points, demonstrations and tips for improving technique so you could practise safely at home. We will also had quizzes, games, and other FUN content!
We were happy to see 335 of our Springfit Family join this closed group and from feedback given throughout this period, it is clear to see that members were happy to follow along with more than 398 minutes of exercise, stretching and workout content.
Even though you were not able to see our coaches in person we made sure you could still see them on your screens. Lots of our coaches from different venues put together videos for you to try and practice from home.
Not to mention Coach Plamen ran a Friday live at 9:30 am which is still ongoing, as well as this Coach Katie and Coach Sammy ran Wednesday Zoom classes for our improvers and advanced members.
Throughout the lockdown, we hosted two virtual competitions, one acro competition and one tumbling competition. We were left highly amazed by the entries and the press releases of these events were shared in the papers! A big congratulations is owed to the amazing 10 members that all received a medal and certificate hand delivered shortly after the competition winners were announced.
Club Manager and Head Judge Adam said “It’s wonderful to see so many people getting the whole family involved and being amazing role models to show how everyone can enjoy the benefits of gymnasts from home.”
Our aim was to keep all of our Springfit family active, healthy, and engaged and we think we successfully achieved this!
