As many of our members would be aware, our Club Calendar usually involves an Acrobatics gymnastics competition around this time of year. Last month we adapted our tumbling competition to be available as a virtual event, and following the success of seeing the winners delighted to receive their medals in the post, we have decided to do the same with our Acrobatics competition.
This “Virtual Acro Gymnastics Competition” will be taking place over on Springfit Online – our Facebook service for members to enjoy our continued service during this trying time.
To find out more about Springfit Online please click on the button below.
We are pleased to invite members of all ages and abilities to partner with one, or two, members of their own household, and send over a picture or video of them performing a balance skill that we would usually see at the acrobatics competition.
To enter the Virtual Acro Competition, you will need to be a current member with either a full subscription or online-only subscription.
All you need to do is head over to the Springfit Online Group, find the post in the “Discussions” section advertising the competition and post a comment on it with the video or picture of your best acro move, along with your child’s name, age and venue they usually attend classes at.
The rules of this competition are nice and simple:
- This virtual competition is open to all CURRENT members
- Submit entries before midnight on Sunday 21st June.
- The acrobatic balance will be scored on creativity, form and style.
- Make sure that you warm up and stretch before practising/executing your acrobatics
The winner of each age or ability level category (split at the discretion of the organisers) will be announced Monday 22nd June and awarded with a gold medal which will be posted out to you.
The competition is open to all ages and abilities. You can do any acrobatics that are within your ability level.

We look forward to seeing your entries from home and awarding a winner!
