Congratulations to everyone involved in our trampoline competition on Sunday 10th November. We had lots of enthusiastic gymnasts taking part from entry level to advanced, and from age five even up to adult!
All competitors thoroughly impressed the judges, coaches and spectators, and you should all be very proud. The highly successful event was held at our usual venue of Moor House in Oxted. There was a great turn out of spectators on the day with friends and family supporting from the audience.
We had 28 individuals and 4 synchro partners participating for the first half of the day and just over 30 individuals and 5 synchro partners for the second half. Entrants came from various local clubs including Anti-Gravity, Epsom Club and Pointers and there were many representatives frome the various Springfit Clubs; Hazelwick, Oakwood, St Bede’s, and Jubilee Centre.
Springfit members claimed their fair share of medals with Katie Hill (13 years old) and Nicole Kincaid (9 years old) both earning a medal in their individual routine as well as picking up a second medal each for their paired synchronised routines with partners Amy Hill (15 years old) and Sophie Kincaid (9 years old). The highest score of the competition was achieved by 15-year-old Harrison Freear with an impressive 19.67 which earned him a well-deserved 1st place on the podium for the Level E category.
One highlight of the Springfit competition is when the Marie Manhire-Clark trophy for effort is awarded to a competitor that the judges feel have showed effort and determination. This competition the trophy was awarded to 5 year old Ava Armstong. She displayed courage and high levels of determination performing her routine.
Thank you to all the competitors and those who came to support. We hope that the day was as enjoyable for you as it was for us, and we look forward to seeing you at the next trampoline competition in March.
The results are available on the website here.
The next trampoline competition is scheduled for March 2020, as detailed on the Club Calendar page.
