My coaching experience starts in my early teenage years helping and teaching beginner level gymnasts at my father’s club in Bulgaria, where I also trained as a gymnast myself. During this time I learnt the correct ways of teaching and spotting the gymnasts and built up my knowledge of a lot of the skills in the sport.

With my passion for the discipline of Sports Acrobatics, I wanted to participate in as many competitions and tournaments as possible, so I got qualified as a Sport Acrobatic Judge at the age of 18 and had even more knowledge of what judges are looking for.

In 2006 after an excellent performance winning two silver medals and one bronze medal as a mixed pair at the Sports Acrobatic National Championship for the so called back then “Candidate Masters of Sport” I decided that this is the best moment for me to stop competing and continue improving and upgrading my coaching skills.

A year later in 2007 I got accepted in National Sport Academy “Vasil Levski”, the best University for sports and Sports Science in Bulgaria and one of the few Sports Universities in Europe.

Some of the modules I have covered are: Gymnastics, Sports Pedagogy, Theory and Methodology of Sports Training, Psychology of the Sports. During those four years of education at University I was also doing voluntary work as a coach in a Sports Acrobatics club called “Acro-Tamp” (2008 – 2011). In the time spent there I had chance to coach and prepare gymnasts of different ages for the National tournaments in which they were taking part.

I did 6 months internship in the Ministry of Youth Sports as an assistant in the Bulgarian Sports For All Association. I was helping organize events for those wanting to do sports, and giving opportunities for a pleasant and meaningful recreational activity as well as social integration for disadvantaged people, retired people, various ethnic groups etc.

After my successful graduation from university I came to England and have been working as a gymnastics coach at Springfit since November 2014, which I really enjoy.
