Members of Springfit Gymnastics and Trampoline Club in Horley took seventeen gymnasts to the largest recreational gymnastics and trampoline competition in the UK on Sunday, and came away with lots of the top spots.
The annual Flair competition was held at the new venue of Guildford Spectrum Leisure Centre in Surrey, and had once again expanded to accommodate more smiling children and proud parents.
Hundreds of gymnasts representing many different clubs from all over the South East came together for the friendly competition, and Springfit achieved some fantastic results. The Superhero themed occasion was enjoyed by hundreds of spectators watching entertaining routines from the hosts, as well as the superb routines on display from their children on trampolines and the gymnastics floor and vaults.
In trampolining, Abigail Ferguson (12), Hollie Knight (12), Nyesha Chapman (16) and Jonathan Brown (7) all won Gold medals in their category, and Sophie Hunt (10) and Emma Knight (9) won impressive silver medals too.
In gymnastics there was a podium finish for Shai Holland (14) in third, and more gold medals for Zara Flint (10), Jamie Kaye (11), Amber Clifton (15) and Abbie Clifton (12) who did superbly in performing flawless gymnastics routines.
